Mechanical Engineer, Somerset, PA Office
Job Summary :
The EADS Group, Inc. has an opening for a full-time, experienced Mechanical Engineer in the Architecture Department of our Somerset, PA Office. Established in 1955, we have grown into an employee-owned, multi-disciplined E ngineering, A rchitecture and D esign S ervices firm with over 250 employees operating out of 9 office locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.
Primary Responsibilities Include :
- Prepare HVAC and plumbing construction documents including site investigations, drawings, specifications, and reports for commercial, residential, municipal and institutional buildings.
- Design ductwork, natural gas piping, hot / cold water, sanitary, and other HVAC & plumbing plans including associated details, diagrams, and specifications.
- Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing and selections.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, design team members and support staff.
- Communicate with equipment vendors and manufacturers' representatives for selection and specification of Building Systems equipment.
- Conduct job site observations, surveys and inspections as necessary.
- Manage projects and conduct project meetings with clients.
- Perform construction administration activities and interface with contractors, owners and vendors.
- Collaborate with and mentor engineering and design technicians.
