Easterseals Iowa is seeking a new team member to work as a Program and Support Specialist!
The Program and Support Specialist role will be responsible for greeting and welcoming visitors and team members at the front desk and communicating Easterseals' vision, mission, and values to the public.
This position includes supporting the agency through maintaining the overall appearance and tidiness of the office, administrative duties, communicating issues to maintenance for timely repair, and supporting long term record keeping.
The Program and Support Specialist will also be responsible for processing new clients for Camp, Brain Health, and Respite programs.
This position will provide support for the rental program, bookings scheduling, and general clerical support as well.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of clerical experience preferred. Experience working with persons with disabilities preferred.
- Ability to operate a computer and navigate through Easterseals database.
- Experience in word processing software; Word and Excel experience required.
- Knowledge of HCBS funding sources preferred but will train.
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects / tasks.
- Ability to work independently and organize workflow.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
- Ability to work with team members and clients in a professional manner, demonstrating integrity and adaptability.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality .
- Access to Reliable Transportation for regular participation in work.
- Possession of valid Iowa Driver's License and maintenance of good driving record and insurable under Easter Seals vehicle insurance policy
Hours for this position are Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm, in our office setting. Pay rate for this position starts at $15.
00 per hour and increases to $15.25 after successful completion of orientation and onboarding within 90 day period.
