FUNCTION: The Associate Product Development Manager will interact closely with team members in Product Development, Design, Merchandising, and Sales. The Product Development team functions as a hub department within the organization, acting as a liaison between the supply-chain and Polo cross-functional teams. RESPONSIBILITIES: Product Development Develop product in collaboration with Design and Merchandising teams to ensure style details are properly documented and relayed to the suppliers and are in line with vendor capabilities and requirements (minimums, leadtimes, etc.). Inclusive of trims and components. Participate in cost Engineering by recommending style modifications to Design to ensure product details are inline with target costs while maintaining the products aesthetic and functional value. Coordinate sourcing of shared materials and components with licensing partners. Assign and attach all label and pack requirements to full range of product lines. Coordinate development and approval of special packaging each season. Coordinate the flow of Sales samples with Operations associate to ensure timely delivery in conjunction with trade shows, international customers, marketing and in coordination with Logistics. Sourcing/Vendor Management Work with suppliers to source new product and materials in order to meet or exceed all financial goals, while maximizing leverage opportunities for the brand throughout the supply chain. Regular communication with suppliers to proactively manage issues and minimize disruptions to the business. Coordinate sourcing of shared materials and components with licensing partners. Assist in negotiation of best pricing and timing for all seasonal and special products programs. Meet to review capabilities with existing suppliers seasonally to review performance, protocol, and any operational issues. Assist to organize and orchestrate vendors line reviews with cross-functional partners in Design, Merchandising, and Operations. Review quality issues and works with Sales, Merchandising, and the suppliers to come to a means of resolution. Process Manage Time and Action calendars for Polo product lines relative to your job functions and ensure all deadlines are met throughout the development and manufacturing processes. Create all line shell plans within PLM system and manage flow of product through full development life cycle. Monitor development and sales sample status and communicate/resolve delays to ensure delivery on time for seasonal market or specialty customer deadlines. Ensure protocols and requirements of key licensor partners are met i.e work in approved factories, testing, compliance to standards. Monitor invoices, debit notes, chargebacks, and work orders submitted to and from suppliers in conjunction with Operations associate. 3-5 years of experience in Product Development, Production, Sourcing or related areas in Fashion Strong communication and interpersonal skills 4 year college degree or equivalent Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) Ability to prioritize, excellent organization and communication skills

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
