Odgers Berndtson is partnering with Nexus on a pivotal rare opportunity to appoint their inaugural Chief Executive Officer. Nexus aims to standardize instant payment system (IPS) connections for seamless cross-border payments. A new corporate entity based in Singapore known provisionally as the Nexus Scheme Organization (NSO) will manage this initiative. The NSO will be owned by the first-mover central banks in participating countries (India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand). The aim of this entity will be to establish an efficient and secure cross-border payment system across participating countries initially, with a view to expanding its reach to other interested countries around the world in due course.
The NSO is looking for a highly skilled and visionary leader to take on the role of Chief Executive Officer. This position is pivotal in shaping the future of cross-border payments across Asia Pacific and potentially beyond. The ideal candidate will be ambitious for NSO’s future, and is an experienced leader with a strong background in Payments, Banking, FinTech, Financial Services or Consulting Industries. Strategic & Financial Management : Set and execute the strategic vision for Nexus, driving innovation, growth, and participation across all the central bank stakeholders.
- Industry and Public Sector Interaction : Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders across private sector and public sector counterparts to drive service adoption.
- Corporate Governance : Provide subject matter expertise, leadership and guidance to the Board of Directors and other key stakeholders.
