As an Edlong Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day HR support within the organization, focusing on executing HR initiatives and strategies to optimize people, processes, and resources. Reporting directly to Edlong’s Human Resources Director, your goal will be to support engagement and retention efforts, foster a great culture, and maximize productivity. The Human Resources Generalist will also be responsible for assisting with the implementation, compliance, and alignment of Edlong’s corporate policies and procedures. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, benefits administration, as well as local, state, and federal employment laws. They must also demonstrate proven experience in leading multiple projects promptly, managing multiple ever-changing business demands and priorities, and showcasing their ability to partner with leaders and employees to foster an inclusive organizational culture promoting growth.

Education, Requirements, Certifications :

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, or a related field with an additional three years of HR experience with expertise in benefits, HRIS, and talent acquisition or equivalent work experience.
  • Having HR-related certifications (i.e., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, etc.) is considered advantageous for candidates.
  • Bilingual capabilities with skills in Spanish preferred.
  • Experience working in specialty ingredients manufacturing or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Core Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with Edlong’s HR Director and functional teams to achieve business objectives and ensure success with the Global people initiatives, including our US, Ireland and Mexico-based workforce.
  • Assist in the implementation and adherence of human resources policies and procedures, providing guidance and interpretation to improve the effectiveness of the organization in line with our values.
  • Ensure that Edlong’s HRIS is the single source of truth for employee data and files, providing accurate data analytics and creating compelling reports to effectively manage all aspects of HR.
  • Collaborate with various Edlong departmental leaders and internal customers to understand, recommend, and fulfill general staffing needs to ensure strong talent recruitment.
  • Support the preparation of communications, documentation, schedule, and facilitate a smooth new hire onboarding process and new hire orientation, including entering all data into HR systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Administer and manage various HR processes and functions such as benefit selection, administration, recordkeeping, open enrollment, COBRA administration and work with leadership to ensure that the benefit plans meet the needs of the Edlong Corporation.
  • Understand and apply parameters of benefit labor legislation including FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and Leaves of Absences.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment requirements including but not limited to Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Title VII, I-9 processes, FMLA, ADA, etc.
  • Maintain Edlong personnel files and documentations to ensure efficiency and accessibility.
  • Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, maintain open lines of communication between staff and management, and conduct investigations as needed. Ensure a fair and respectful culture through proper handling of employee feedback.
