Job Description: The Ely Center, LLC seeks a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team part-time. The ideal candidate will commit to a diversity-affirming patient-centered care approach and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality therapeutic services.
Key Responsibilities:
Occupational Therapy:
- Conduct both group and individual therapy sessions.
- Maintain a minimum caseload of 3 OT hours (50min.) weekly
- Grow and maintain a weekly practice as available
- Flexible days: Monday through Friday and Saturday/Sunday space availability
- Flexible hours
- Proactively manage appointments, schedules, and attendance to complete OT invoicing and billing on time and accurately using the Ely Center tech stack, including but not limited to IntakeQ and Google Suite.
- Understand and acknowledge that advanced preparation and post-service professional notes are included as part of the service hour and are not compensated additionally. Consultations with families, consultations with school districts, report writing, and formal evaluations are paid separately at the above Per Diem hourly rate.
- Work collaboratively with the Ely Center clinicians and leadership team.
- Perform other duties as necessary and appropriate with agreement.
General Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate clients' performance and develop individualized treatment plans based on their needs and goals.
- Review prior testing and reports.
- Consult with family and outside providers as well as the IEP team as necessary.
- Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to help clients achieve optimal functioning.
- Coordinate comprehensive care by collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including speech therapists, mental health counselors, and other Ely staff members.
- Educate clients and their families on managing their conditions and enhancing their daily living skills.
- Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans to ensure effective outcomes.
- Stay current with the latest research and developments in occupational therapy to provide the best possible care.
- Accurately and timely document all client interactions, assessments, and treatments according to The Ely Center, LLC's policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, practices, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Experience working with a neurodiverse client population.
