Primary Purpose
The Manager, Global Talent Acquisition ensures effective talent acquisition through the identification, attraction, and recruitment per the company’s business needs. This role involves collaborating closely with business leaders and global partners to create and execute talent acquisition programs for several complex, global business units with multiple functional roles. The Manager focuses on acquiring talent specifically in the fields of Data Science, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
Responsibilities
Recruitment Strategy
- Develop and manage multi-year recruitment strategies for all positions in assigned areas of responsibility, such as business verticals or geographies.
- Communicate effectively with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of hiring recruitment plans and implementation.
- Establish a recognizable “employer of choice” reputation for the company, both internally and externally, partnering with marketing to develop talent branding campaigns.
- Strategize and plan employment recruiting events, including annual conferences, career fairs, and open houses.
- Identify and recommend new resources and strategies to draw in difficult-to-source talent.
- Develop relationships with third-party recruitment agencies and staffing firms, supporting the procurement and measurement process.
Talent Acquisition Process
- Lead the complete process of recruiting assigned requisitions across the organization, with a key focus on building talent pipelines and providing a positive candidate experience.
- Coordinate interview details, ensuring high responsiveness, communication, and follow-up for interview scheduling activities.
- Manage written and verbal communications with candidates throughout the interview process.
- Work in collaboration with business leaders to manage the internal and external deployment of talent according to agreed time-to-fill requirements.
- Develop and execute position-specific staffing plans to meet or exceed time-to-fill goals.
- Responsible for managing the talent attraction processes for vacancies related to Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Information Technology.
Sourcing and Employer Branding
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to develop employer branding initiatives to attract top talent and build talent pipelines in alignment with the organization's projected growth and talent market trends.
- Formulate innovative and creative sourcing and research methodologies to identify candidate names, competitor organizations, and build detailed candidate maps and talent pools globally.
- Develop competitive intelligence (hiring practices, salary information, downsizing, etc.) and enable the TA team to leverage that information to develop a pool of talent.
- Proactively design and implement sourcing & research strategies to support identification, pool creation, and pipelining of potential candidates in Data Science, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
Compliance and Data Management
- Work with the Talent Acquisition team to accurately record and collect compliance data on an ongoing basis in alignment with equal employment opportunity/employment equity standards.
- Review and consistently update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage candidate records throughout the recruitment cycle, ensuring records are accurately updated and/or dispositioned during each phase.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field
- 10 or more years of total progressive experience human resources or talent acquisition role within a high-volume recruiting environment.
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting candidates across various disciplines within Data Science, Technology, and Information Technology, with a specialized emphasis in roles involving Artificial Intelligence. This includes a deep understanding of the unique skill set required for positions such as Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, AI Researchers, and IT Infrastructure Specialists. Demonstrated ability to identify, attract, and engage highly qualified professionals who can drive innovation and technological advancements within these specialized fields.
- Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS), Taleo Business Edition (TBE) preferred
- SHRM, PHR, AIRS/Linkedin Certified Professional Recruiter or a related talent acquisition certification; willingness to obtain certification preferred.
- Extensive work history utilizing creative sourcing tools and techniques such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Twitter, Facebook, and advanced internet search techniques to attract prospective candidates
- Demonstrated understanding of how HR/Talent function contributes to the business strategy
- Comprehensive knowledge of current HR practices for recruitment/staffing, employee relations, compensation, and employee development.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities.
- Demonstrated interviewing and assessment skills with the ability to represent the company, explain work environment, benefits package and develop a customized approach for prospective candidates.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing to include negotiating, leading presentations, training courses, and effective meetings.
- Proficiency and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in written and spoken English required, fluency in a secondary language desired.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality required.
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
