Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Federal Project Manager to lead large-scale infrastructure and construction projects in support of border security initiatives in South Texas. This role is field-driven and demands a results-oriented leader with a strong federal contracting background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering complex projects on schedule and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of border infrastructure projects—including border wall construction, access roads, lighting, and surveillance systems.
- Manage field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client relations to ensure federal objectives are met.
- Ensure all work complies with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and other relevant agency standards.
- Maintain control of project budget, schedule, and scope, identifying and mitigating risks in real time.
- Supervise on-site quality control and health & safety teams to ensure high performance and strict compliance.
- Serve as the on-the-ground liaison with government officials, security personnel, and community stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports, financial tracking updates, and documentation required for government compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience managing federal construction projects; experience with DHS, CBP, or USACE contracts is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success delivering horizontal or vertical infrastructure projects in remote or challenging environments.
- In-depth understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFAR) and federal quality/safety protocols.
- Effective team leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Must be able to work in outdoor, high-security environments with extended periods of field deployment.
- U.S. citizenship required; Secret Clearance preferred or ability to obtain one.
