Employment Specialist
The Enrichment Center is seeking an Employment Specialist/Job Coach to join our team. Are you dedicated to helping people live their lives as fully and as independently as possible?.
Full-time, Variable Schedule: The position works alongside the person being supported during his or her hours of work, which can include nights, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is a must.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have documented experience working with adults with Disabilities, Mental Health and Diverse Backgrounds.
Have the desire to promote and develop employment and on-the-job training opportunities for Individuals on your caseload.
Other requirements for the position include exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a strong command of interpersonal and negotiation skills, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills, good project planning and organization skills, good Microsoft Office skills and computer aptitude to learn new software, the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. Above all, the candidate should be committed to meeting or exceeding the needs of the people s/he is supporting. The position will involve transportation, so the candidate must be willing to use his or her private vehicle, have a valid NC drivers land pass a criminal background check. (Vehicle use is compensated by mileage.)
Job Duties: Serve as personal employment specialist/ job coach for a diversity of people living with significant disabilities who are seeking long-term employment. Create work opportunities by establishing relationships with local employers through cold-calling, networking, and targeted marketing campaigns. Assess individual skills and deliver targeted prevocational training. Provide on-the-job coaching and training for people who have been placed. Maintain complete and accurate records and reports in compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory requirement
