Plan and perform routine mig and tig welding on a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials using handheld, machine fed welding equipment with or without atmospheric control to produce high strength fusion and joining of parts, subassemblies of company products. Candidates must also be willing to receive cross-training as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Candidates must also be willing to receive cross-training as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Welds of mig, tig, and flux core; must meet MIL- Standard Quality.
- Regulate gas for proper atmospheric control, select current, voltage, and electrodes for arc welding, set and regulate pressure, flow, and tips for gas welding.
- Strong interpretation of blueprints, diagrams, sketches, written and/or oral instructions from Foreperson welding.
- Able to set-up and weld using fixtures and measuring equipment.
- Check on proper locations of holes, parts and surface.
- Check all welds using weld gauges.
- Use care block clamp, hold parts and surfaces.
- Must have tools to perform.
- Check quality, record time and production.
- Able to perform tasks in allotted times, with minimal supervision.
- Assist and instruct lower class welders.
- Maintain work area neat and orderly.
- Observe all health and safety requirements.
- Perform other similar and related duties as assigned.

- 5 years' experience with a mix of GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding
- Ability to set-up welding machine/process per applicable WPS
- Able to use Oxy/Fuel Torch
- Able to use hand and power tools
- Must be able to pass required welder qualifications as needed
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings is a plus
- Able to work independently or in a team
