The Opportunity

The Science Department at The Episcopal Academy is seeking an Upper School science teacher to add to our vibrant 18-person department. This educator will primarily teach Biology and related courses. Special consideration is given to candidates with flexibility to teach beyond Biology, such as in Chemistry, Environmental Science and/or Physics. We seek a collaborative team player excited to be part of a new approach to teaching science, committed to building and sustaining inclusive learning spaces, and invested in their continued growth as a scientist and educator. It is an exciting moment in our department's history with a newly revised curriculum that continues to evolve, growing investment in environmental science, and emerging industry and community partnerships.

What You'll Do

Faculty at The Episcopal Academy wear many hats. In this role, we'll be looking for a colleague to:

  • Teach four sections of lab-based science in the upper school with an emphasis on biology.
  • Advise a small group of upper school students
  • Become involved in the life of the school, through advising, coaching, and/or supervising activities
