The Opportunity

The Role
- Grow sales and market share with lawn and garden distributors and key retailers in the Midwest US.
- Build and support drop ship business for fertilizer and soils.
- Educate customers on how to sell, market and merchandise our products.
- Provide marketplace feedback regarding customer and competitive activities as well as opportunities for growth with new and existing products.
- Attend trade shows, sales meetings, and deliver presentations.
- Resolve customer issues or questions in a professional and timely manner.
- Operate out of your home office and spend most of your time out in the field visiting customers (average 3 days per week).
Desired Skills & Expertise
- 5 years of sales experience, ideally in the lawn and garden industry
- Strong work ethic, hunter mentality, passion for sales & learning
- Excellent relationship building and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Positive, energetic attitude with initiative, drive, and creativity
- Organized individual with strong attention to detail & a good team player
- Computer proficient with CRM, Microsoft applications & social media
- BA/BS Degree
- Our preference is that you are based in the Detroit or Cleveland area.
