About the position:
The Eye Institute is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position is responsible for large volume posting and reconciling of insurance and patient payments including manual and electronic remits. Review and analyze EOB’s for accuracy, . Recognize denials and underpayments to resolve or route to appropriate personnel for further investigation. Assist with answering phones within business office and communicate with staff and patients regarding accounts.

Knowledge, skills, abilities required for the position:
- Previous medical billing and posting experience required
- Previous experience in reading and understanding medical EOB's required
- Must be dependable and able to meet deadlines for posting cut off dates and month end.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work at face pace.
- Knowledge of insurance and billing procedures including Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care Plans.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

The Eye Institute is a multi-specialist Ophthalmology practice, offering services ranging from comprehensive eye exams to specialty services including General Ophthalmology, Cornea, Retina, Glaucoma, Pediatrics & Adult Strabismus, Cataract & Refractive Surgery and Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
