The Eye Institute is seeking a highly organized and experienced medical office manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our medical offices. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a good understanding of healthcare operations, and a commitment to excellent patient care. The office manager will work closely with clerical and clinical staff, administrative staff and physicians to ensure smooth office operations, optimize patient flow, and maintain high standards of care. The office manager plans, directs and manages the day-to-day aspects of the practice.
Duties:
Responsible for hiring, training, disciplinary oversight and performance reviews for front and back office staff
Trains and supervises front office staff including patient scheduling, registration, check and check out duties. Covers those positions in event of absences
Works closely with physicians to ensure clinical staff are trained and performing their duties effectively
Responsible for daily charge entry of office and surgery procedures
Responsible for staff schedules to ensure office has sufficient coverage to operate daily
Implements and oversees office policies and procedures
Works closely with Administration and Human Resource to ensure company policies and procedures are being followed including but not limited to HIPAA and OSHA
Requirements:
Must have minimum 5 years medical office experience with at least 2 years office management experience preferred
Must have experience with front office duties including scheduling, registration, insurance eligibility
Must have experience with charge entry including ICD-10 and CPT coding
Experience with practice management and electronic medical record software
Excellent leadership skills required
Must be very dependable
