Perform monitoring, recruiting and processing claims for our CACFP Program, and assist the CACFP Coordinator with training events, records management, and gathering resources for providers. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs data entry enrollment forms and site visit forms and processing of monthly provider menus into network and web-based programs.
- Performs recruitment activities (ex: calling new providers, copying packets etc.) and assistance with enrolling new providers in the program.
- Completes required monitoring of meal service and menus with attendance at the child care providers homes at least three times per year as required by the provider agreement.
- Prepares monthly flyers/newsletter for providers about new resources and training available.
- Make provider contact, follow-up and reminder calls as needed.
- Attend training and meetings sponsored by the Kansas State Department of Education to maintain professional standards and technical knowledge of CACFP guidelines and regulations.
- Provides nutrition guidance and technical assistance to child care providers.
- Coordinates 6 hours of provider training within contract year.
- Assists with KSDE required audits monthly and annual reviews.
- Effectively utilize agency technology to accomplish tasks. (Microsoft Office Suite; Google Mail, Calendar & Drive; program specific software; printers/scanners/fax/phone).
- Maintains confidentiality of all agency information, consumer nonpublic personal information (NPI) and personal health information (PHI), as well as records directly or indirectly identifying any person currently or formerly receiving services from The Family Conservancy.
- Carries out The Family Conservancy’s Mission: Championing the healthy development of children by supporting parents and families and promoting quality early education
- Supports The Family Conservancy’s Strategic Plan and ensures accountability through successful implementation of assigned objectives where applicable.
- As part of our Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) process, attends assigned meetings and contributes in a meaningful way.
- Maintains professional standards and technical knowledge by a minimum 12 clock hours of annual attendance at educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, informs staff and colleagues of the results of these activities
- Attends diversity training yearly. Requirements
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft office applications including Word, Access and Excel.
- Effectively carry out The Family Conservancy mission
- Utilize English to communicate with community members, consumers, coworkers and others.
- Maintain successful clearance on Criminal, Sex Offender, Medical, and Missouri and Kansas Child Abuse/Neglect Background Screenings.
- Must have reliable transportation and ability to navigate within multiple county service areas.
Education and Experience:
- English/Spanish Communication preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 3 years of experience in early childhood education, child care or related direct service experience with children and/or families required.
Ability Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of working at a desk and on a computer.
