Summary
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at The Family Place. This role is vital in ensuring accurate financial operations and supporting our mission of enhancing family services in the Upper Valley. You will be responsible for managing accounts receivable processes, contributing to the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Process and manage all accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Maintain customer accounts, ensuring all payments are recorded and reconciled.
- Generate invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts receivable activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries.
- Utilize QuickBooks and other financial software for efficient account management.
- Review and record all bank deposits.
- Prepare and submit billing for health insurance, Medicaid, nutrition and education programs and children's services
- Support the finance team with additional accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Accounting or 3 years professional accounting experience
- 2 years experience in health care billing (medical billing and coding certificate preferred)
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or similar finance roles.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- High degree of accuracy and accountability
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting is beneficial but not required.
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check
- Must be able to work on-site to coordinate with finance team
