OUR MISSION
The Family Place empowers survivors of family violence by providing safe housing, counseling, and skills that create independence while building community engagement and advocating for social change to stop family violence.
The Family Place seeks a committed and experienced Compliance Manager to ensure adherence to grant regulations and compliance requirements for both government and private funding sources. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of our grant processes, supporting the organization’s mission to empower victims of domestic violence and promote safety and healing. We are looking for a professional who values our non-profit mission and is interested in contributing to our long-term success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance with all grant agreements and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submission of reports and documentation.
- Work closely with finance, program, and development teams to align compliance efforts with organizational goals.
- Conduct regular internal audits and reviews of grant activities to maintain high standards of accountability.
- Develop and update internal compliance policies to ensure alignment with grant regulations and industry best practices.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance procedures and grant management to build a culture of accountability.
- Compile and maintain records for reporting to funders, government agencies, and organizational leadership.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with funders, demonstrating our commitment to transparency, mission alignment, and compliance.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, public administration, social sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in grants compliance, contract management, or a similar role, preferably within a non-profit setting.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements for government and private grants, with a focus on non-profit sector standards.
Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in grants management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment: This position requires occasional local travel using personal automobile. The Family Place offers a collaborative and supportive work environment committed to making a difference in the lives of individuals affected by domestic violence.
