Summary

As a Finance Manager at The Family Place, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of our organization. This position is essential for ensuring that we can continue to provide vital services to families in need, contributing directly to our mission of fostering strong parenting and community support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Conduct general ledger reconciliations and ensure account accuracy.
• Analyze financial reports to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
• Manage cash flow and optimize financial performance through cost management strategies.
• Collaborate with program directors to align financial resources with organizational goals.
• Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders, including board members and funding agencies.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to financial management.
• Responsible for implementing agency financial procedures, cost allocation standards, and reporting schedule/calendar for all government and third party grants and contracts
• Oversee all fee-for-service procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of billing and invoicing
• Work with Human Resources to oversee and ensure accurate processing of payroll and year end reporting
• Facilitate preparation of audit and 990

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• 3 years’ experience in accounting and financial management
• Experience in non-profit accounting and financial management preferred
• Advanced skills in QuickBooks online and Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrated skill in GAAP accounting, grants management, financial reporting, budget development and analysis.
• Working knowledge of cost allocation practices and procedures.
• Ability to develop checkpoints to maintain the overall integrity of the financial system.
• Strong interpersonal skills including ability to problems solve complex situations by fostering collaboration and communication among teams
• Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check.
