What are the responsibilities and job description for the MDT Program Coordinator position at The Family Place?
Position Purpose
This position supports the daily operations of The Family Place Child Advocacy Center and the Windsor County Special Investigation Unit (SIU) program. It is the responsibility of the MDT Program Coordinator to develop and sustain a multi-disciplinary team to investigate, prosecute, and provide victim services for cases of child sexual abuse, serious child physical abuse, and sexually based offenses against adults. The MDT Program Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the program including maintaining case statistics, professional development supporting protocol development and team meetings. This role will also support general CAC administration.
Key Accountabilities
MDT Program Responsibilities (50%)
- Facilitate monthly Case Review meetings, to include preparing agendas, scheduling meetings, facilitating meetings and recording any case updates into applicable case management systems
- Provide and coordinate MDT training/operations improvement opportunities at least twice a year
- Create and maintain an orientation plan for new MDT members, schedule and facilitate orientations, and track and log attendance into applicable training management systems
- Create and maintain a mentoring plan for new MDT members
- Maintain upkeep of MDT Protocol/ SIU Best Practice Guidelines
- Assist in ensuring that MOUs are timely signed and submitted
- Schedule and facilitate MDT communications for individual cases, as needed.
- Provide assistance to problem-solve barriers or challenges experienced by MDT members as they relate to the CAC model
- Research and provide resources to support MDT members who suffer from vicarious trauma
- Creates and distributes case review meeting appointments; Records case updates and transfers information to NCAtrak
- Initiate and evaluate OMS MDT surveys in order to grow and develop programs
- Assist in assessing and addressing professional development needs of MDT Partners as it relates to their role within the SIU/CAC and in compliance with NCA Accreditation Standards
Administrative Responsibilities (20%)
- Coordinates and participates in prevention and outreach activities, including but not limited to, 1st responders, mandated reporters, parent education, and student assemblies
- Ensures brochures, materials, and website information pertaining to SIU/CAC programs are current and relevant to SIU/CAC areas of interest
- Assists SIU/CAC Program Director in ensuring that CAC programs conform to National Children’s Alliance standards
- Initiate and evaluate results of the Outcome Measurement System (OMS) to parents/guardians whose children are served by the SIU/CAC in order to gauge client satisfaction with programs
- Manages central repository of all protocols, partner agreements, directories and regional assignments
- Adheres to confidentiality guidelines concerning all clients, families and providers
Documentation (20%)
- Accurately and efficiently maintains the case tracking database (NCAtrak) in accordance with funding and accreditation requirements.
- Creates statistical data reports for grants, each reporting cycle and/or, as requested.
- Maintain documentation as required by contracts or PCC which includes data entry in TFP database files, casenotes, and reports for funders
Staff and Team Responsibilities (5%)
- Attends SIU/CAC administrative team meetings
- Attends Group Supervision, All-Staff meetings, and other TFP meetings as requested
- Represent agency in the community, and identifying community needs as they interface with the agency.
- Participate in fundraising, parent education and public awareness activities as workload permits.
Professional Development (5%)
- Attend agency trainings on equity and other topics related to TFP services and programs.
- Participate in training related to roles and responsibilities
- Continues training on relevant credentials required of NCA standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
Education and Experience
- Minimum BA/BS, required.
- Post graduate work, preferred.
- 2 -5 years experience in the field of social work, criminal justice and/or behavioral science.
- Demonstrates experience in leading and working with a team of professionals
- At least 2 years’ experience working with statistics/data collection and grant reporting
- Past experience with a Child Advocacy Center or VT Special Investigation Unit (preferred)
Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of the dynamics of sexual abuse, domestic violence and/or the criminal justice system
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of computer applications and systems
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with the MDT, community groups and staff
