OUR MISSION
The Family Place empowers survivors of family violence by providing safe housing, counseling, and skills that create independence while building community engagement and advocating for social change to stop family violence.
Support the recruitment and hiring of mission-driven individuals who align with our values and goals. The Talent Manager will manage the full-cycle recruitment process, build relationships with hiring managers, and ensure a positive experience for candidates. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting our mission through effective talent acquisition.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans to attract diverse and qualified applicants.
- Partner with department leads to assess hiring needs and craft tailored job postings.
- Actively source candidates through various channels, including job boards, networking, and community partnerships.
- Conduct interviews and guide hiring managers in selecting candidates aligned with agency values and trauma-informed practices.
- Plan and deliver engaging new hire onboarding sessions to introduce employees to the agency’s mission, culture, and resources.
- Create materials and presentations for onboarding, including policies and role-specific training.
- Conduct periodic check-ins with employees within their first 90 days to ensure a smooth transition and address concerns.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to develop retention strategies, including professional development initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for new hires during their initial transition period.
- Monitor and analyze employee feedback and turnover data to improve recruitment and retention practices.
- Represent The Family Place at job fairs, community events, and networking opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of recruiting efforts, onboarding schedules, and employee feedback.
- Support continuous improvement of talent acquisition and retention processes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or related HR roles.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
- Knowledge of employment laws and best practices related to recruiting and hiring.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and their application in workplace interactions.
- Experience with Paycom HRIS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Required Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid TX Driver’s License with a clear driving record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills for diverse audiences.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and departments.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to work in a standard office environment, using typical office equipment.
- Occasionally required to travel locally for recruitment events and agency-related activities.
- Capacity to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced, trauma-informed workplace.
