GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Clerical Assistant will support the Administrative Assistant develop, organize, and maintain administrative systems to support the staff and to ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day activities remotely and within the office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Ensures that all work is carried out in a manner that is both respectful and empowering to families and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Supports the Administrative Assistant with implementing and ensuring that office procedures are in place and followed.
- Responsible for phone coverage during shift, utilizing agency remote Voice Over Internet Protocol program, Ancero.
- While in the office, assists in maintaining the order and neatness of all common office areas.
- Receive and scan incoming mail to the intended recipient/s.
- Process out-going mail requests and ship packages.
- Performs a wide variety of clerical duties to support office, consumers, and agency staff.
- Supports the Administrative Assistant in day-to-day operations including but not limited to telephone calls, filing, office supplies, correspondence, and clerical support.
- Organize and maintain all files electronic and paper in an efficient and effective manner.
- Work with other staff members to coordinate, schedule and prepare for a variety of meetings on a needed basis.
- Assists the Administrative Assistant with clerical aspects of conferences and special events.
- May perform other duties as assigned by the CEO, SVP of Programs and Services, Director, SC Supervisor, and Administrative Assistant/Supervisor as need arises.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
EXPERIENCE: 2 years’ experience within bookkeeping, clerical, office management or related work experience. A combination of relevant education and work experience may be acceptable. Strong communication skills. Must be self-starter and detail oriented. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities a plus.
