Job Purpose:
The Recovery Specialist II is a full-time position supporting clients with connecting to treatment services, Peer Recovery Coaching, assessing needs, care coordination, recovery planning, and work readiness assessing and planning. The Recovery Specialist II will also work in conjunction with the Program Director in supporting overall operations of the center including the Recovery Friendly Workplace initiative, providing vocational training to clients of the center along with meeting grant and other funder requirements.
Job Summary:
The Recovery Specialist II will support individuals seeking recovery support services, educational and/or vocational training, and workforce opportunities. This position will also support outreach to employers engaging them in Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiatives. This position will also support the required data collection, metrics tracking and reporting, along with continued quality improvements. Ideal candidates will have two years’ experience in delivering peer recovery services, vocational and education support, administrative functions, CRSW credentialing and have completed Motivational Interviewing training
Responsibilities
- Within 6 months of hire complete all requirements for CRSW (Certified Recovery Support Worker) credentialing.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, including initial and renewal CRSW credentialing requirements.
- Utilize Motivational Interviewing techniques when delivering Peer Recovery Workforce services.
- Implement concepts presented in orientation and training within the role of Program Lead.
- High-level technological skills for implementing, operating, and managing data entry into case management systems, and excel.
- Work directly with the identified Granite Pathways Employer Relation contact in recruiting employers to Recovery Friendly Workplace initiatives.
- Deliver and oversee required GPRA (Government Performance Results Act) interview and documentation timeline expectations.
- Maintain reporting tracking and spreadsheet maintenance.
- Exhibit qualities of dependability, empathy, genuineness, and respect, and maintain a positive and supportive attitude.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED or HiSET.
- CRSW credentials are preferred.
- Close familiarity with the local recovery community.
- Direct or indirect lived experience with Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health Services
- Trained in Motivational Interviewing
- Familiar with Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiatives
- Experience with delivering GPRA interviews is preferred
- A means of transportation
Spanish and Portuguese proficiency preferred.
