Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage a diverse caseload from inception to resolution.
- Develop proficiency in all estate planning documents, including Last Wills and Testaments, Revocable Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxies, Deeds, and Change of Beneficiary Forms.
- Oversee the probate process, including court filings, beneficiary communication, and resolution of estate disputes.
- Guide clients through trust administration, ensuring legal compliance and facilitating asset distribution.
- Conduct thorough legal research on probate and trust administration matters, offering insightful guidance to clients.
- Draft and review legal documents with precision, including petitions, notices, and trust agreements.
- Witness/notarize document signings, finalize case work with clear next steps, and provide timely follow-up.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in client development initiatives, contribute to marketing/educational materials, and support firm growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Proven experience in estate planning, guardianships, trusts, and probate.
- Strong writing, research, analytic, and organizational skills with a proactive work ethic.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to deadlines and high standards of professionalism and client confidentiality.
