Job Summary :
The Hospitality Team Member is responsible for providing excellent customer service by preparing and serving food, beverages, and snacks at concession stands. This role includes handling transactions, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with health and safety. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works collaboratively with team members, and adheres to all guidelines.
Key Responsibilities :
Customer Service :
Greet customers promptly and courteously.
Take orders accurately, suggest menu items, and upsell food and beverage options.
Address customer questions, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner, escalating issues to the supervisor when necessary.
Food & Beverage Preparation :
Prepare and serve food items such as popcorn, hot dogs, pretzels, and beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Staff will also be cooking or finishing items, such as par-baked pizzas and burgers requiring toppings.
Ensure food is prepared safely and presented attractively.
Monitor inventory levels at the stand and restock as necessary.
Cash Handling & Transactions :
Operate cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately.
Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions while following proper cash handling procedures.
Balance cash drawers and reconcile sales at the end of shifts.
Sanitation & Cleanliness :
Maintain cleanliness of the concession area, including counters, equipment, and floors.
Dispose of trash and recyclables according to health and safety regulations.
Follow all food handling and safety guidelines, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
Team Collaboration :
Work effectively with other concession staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Communicate supply needs, equipment issues, or other challenges to the supervisor promptly.
Assist in training new staff as needed.
Other Duties :
Assist in setting up and closing down concession stands.
Participate in inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Concession Supervisor or Food & Beverage Manager.
Qualifications : Required :
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and counting inventory.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred :
Previous experience in food service, concessions, or customer service roles.
Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling.
Physical Demands :
Stand, walk, and move quickly during shifts.
Lift, carry, and move food items, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work in environments with high heat, noise, and frequent customer interaction.
Work Schedule :
