Location: Varies within Bucks County*
Seasonal: late spring/summer, winter holiday season
Hours May Include: Mon - Fri 8:30 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Sat 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (may be required)
*Intern I should expect to work at various locations throughout Bucks County as needed.
Hourly Rate: $17.75 plus premium pay for any Saturdays worked
Summary:**
Fulfill sales, service and referral needs for an exceptional customer experience. Provide service to customers in a timely, friendly, and professional manner, cross-sell bank products and services, and perform the tasks associated with the handling of customers’ banking transactions.
The paid intern will learn skills through observation, one-on-one instruction and hands-on application to enhance their general skills as well as to familiarize the individual with community banking. Floats to branch locations as assigned.
Provides excellent, professional service to customers in person and over the phone. Identifies opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services. Answers questions and takes ownership and accountability in problem solving.
Processes transactions efficiently and accurately, in compliance with banking regulations. Explains, promotes, and activates products and services that may benefit the customer. Demonstrates for customers all functions of online, mobile, and telephone banking features to ensure understanding.
Balances teller drawer daily.
Adheres to The First National bank of Newtown's policies.
Is available to work for eight to twelve weeks, approximately from mid-May to mid-August in any of the branch offices as scheduled. The Intern is to remain flexible to changes in the branch schedule.
Adheres to banking regulations and compliance standards, maintaining the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program majoring in accounting, or business, finance, or economics with a strong influence of accounting and/or a related program.
Clearly communicates in English; moderate reading, writing and grammar skills; proficient analytical and mathematics skills; proficient communicative and interpersonal relations skills; ability to build professional relationships and rapport. Moderate PC skills, working knowledge of the teller system and other bank operating systems, high level of accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.
