Preferred Certifications Have a knowledge of the game of golf, be proficient in using a mobile smartphone and Microsoft Office. Graduation or certificate from an accredited high school. Must clear a national background check (provided by First Tee Northern Nevada).

Job Description: 8 week commitment The role of The First Tee Golf and Life Skills Coach is to lead/teach/coach The First Tee Life Skills Experience utilizing The First Tee coaching methodology and curriculum at scheduled class/classes, to help young people become responsible future citizens, and committed, active golfers.
Time Commitment
- 5-10 hours per week for a minimum of nine (9) weeks for Core Programs
OR
- 2-10 hours per week for a minimum of four (4) weeks for Outreach Programs
OR
- 2-4 hours per activity as opportunities become available
Responsibilities:
· Pursue First Tee Coaching Certifications and remain active in First Tee Coach Training Program
· Promote First Tee’s mission by modeling First Tee Key Commitments and adherence to the First Tee Code of Conduct
· Lead the assigned Tiny Tees, First Tee age based class/classes
· Provide direction to Assistant Coaches or volunteers who assist with class/classes
· Arrive 45 minutes prior to class, set up and break down of golf and life skills program equipment and supplies
Responsibilities (continued):
· Actively engage, assist, and mentor participants
· Modify lesson plans as necessary while adhering to the Golf and Life Skills curriculum
· Serve as a model of mature, responsible behavior to participants
· Foster relationships with participants, while serving as a role model
· Encourage a fun and learning environment
· Display an interest in the development of youth
· Maintain positive, professional and friendly relationships with parents and participants
· Communicate regularly with the Program Director
· Represent the chapter to the community and aid in fundraising, marketing and public relation efforts
· Read, adhere to, apply and model established policies, procedure, and practices of First Tee of Northern Nevada

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 20 per week
