Job Summary:
The Florida Panthers Game Presentation Entertainment Intern is an enthusiastic, creative, and highly organized member of the Game Presentation Department. The Game Presentation Entertainment Intern is responsible for handling all aspects of Entertainment, while assisting with all facets of Gameday entertainment and live production development. This position provides administrative, logistical, and creative support to the Manager, Game Presentation and Sr. Director, Game Presentation in developing a dynamic in-arena entertainment experience for Florida Panthers fans and visitors year-round.
Job Functions:
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist with the Florida Panthers Dance Team, Ice Crew, and Mascot Programs.
- Serve as an associate producer for all Panthers home games; Dance Team, Ice Crew, Mascots & Stage Managers.
- Assist in providing support for all pregame assets including the National Anthem program and Color Guards while maintaining relationships with celebrity performers and game-by-game needs.
- Assist in the maintenance, upkeep, and inventory of game presentation uniforms, props and storage areas, ensuring they are always well-organized.
- Assist in the development of pregame shows, in-arena activations, theme nights, and sponsorship activations.
- Assist with marketing initiatives including city wide pop-up events, street teams, video shoots and watch-parties.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions, research and pitch new ideas and activations meant to enhance the game day experience.
- Other Entertainment-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Event Management, Live Arts or related field of study and a minimum of two-years’ experience stage managing NHL/AHL or NBA/WNBA games; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Script Writing Experience preferred
- Must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task
- Self-starter with a high degree of enthusiasm, creative vision and ability to lead in a high-stress environment
- Be able to make decisions in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skill
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Ability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a non-exempt intern position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
