Job Summary
House of Holcomb is seeking a talented and creative Commercial Interior Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing high-end, luxurious spaces for upscale venues and boutique hotels, with a focus on creating unique, intimate atmospheres. Working closely with the CEO, you will translate the design vision from initial concept through to execution, ensuring each project reflects the Iconic sophistication and distinction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct site visits to assess space availability, design needs, and the purpose of each area.
Attend regular meetings with the CEO to understand design preferences, including interior styles, colors, and themes.
Develop initial design sketches, color palettes, and concepts in line with the vision and the space’s requirements.
Create renderings and design boards for review and approval, as well as sales department needs.
Creating CAD designs and detailed briefs
Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, decorators, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution and adherence to timelines.
Responsible for purchasing and overseeing the buying process of all products, furnishings, and raw materials required to complete the project
Coordinate CEO’s visits and provide regular updates on project progress apprising everyone involved in the projects progress
Ensuring project completion within the allocated budget and timeline
Requirements and skills
Proven experience in commercial interior design, preferably in hospitality (venues, hotels, etc.), including consultations, renovations, space planning, and new builds.
Established network of trusted commercial and residential vendors.
Expertise in layout design, color theory, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and installations.
Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools.
A strong portfolio showcasing previous work in interior design.
Exceptional creativity, a keen eye for design, and innovative thinking.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong project management abilities, ensuring timely and budget-conscious project delivery.
BS degree in Interior Design or a related field.
Willingness to travel as required.
Pay Rate is Negotiable depending on Experience
