Electrical Assembler - Tymetal Corp.

Tymetal Corp. is actively seeking an Electrical Assembler to work on first shift assembling, inspecting, and testing electronic components used in automatic gate systems. We are looking for a safety focused individual who takes pride in their work and has a strong attention to detail. Our Electrical Assembler may also assist in the assembly of security gates, municipal highway equipment, and custom metal fabrication projects. Our first shift works Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with electrical wiring, motors, and high and low voltage circuitry.
- Ability to use basic electrical measuring tools such as multimeters, insulations resistance meters, decade boxes, and test fixtures.
- Ability to read a tape measure and use all basic hand/power tools.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Must be mechanically inclined and an extremely good troubleshooter/problem-solver.
- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to lift and carry as well as push and pull weights of up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to withstand exposure to dust, fumes and chemicals such as oil, grease, vehicle exhaust, steel and aluminum welding fumes, etc.
- Capable of accessing equipment at various levels by reaching or climbing a ladder, bending over, walking, kneeling and standing for extended periods of time.
- Automotive electrical experience a plus.
- PLC experience desired but not required.
- One to three years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment desired.
- The ability to read and wire from electrical schematics is required.
