Mechanical Designer/Drafter - Tymetal Corp.
Tymetal Corp. has a rewarding full-time opportunity for a Mechanical Designer/Drafter in our Fort Miller, NY office. Our Designer/Drafter will work closely with sales to develop submittal drawings using AutoCAD and will also support the manufacturing team with shop drawings using SolidWorks.

Responsibilities of our Mechanical Designer/Drafter:
- Develop and maintain layouts, cut sheets and designs for our steel and aluminum gate products.
- Prepare drawings from photos, detailed notes and product specifications for the sales and manufacturing departments.
- Generate manufacturing bills of material (BOM's).
- Convert sales orders to manufacturing work orders using our ERP software.
- Recommend design modifications to improve and/or simplify finished product.
- Update and modify drawings based on Engineering Change Notices submitted by manufacturing.
Qualifications of our Mechanical Designer/Drafter:
- AAS in Mechanical Drafting or Design, or equivalent work experience.
- SolidWorks and AutoCAD proficiency.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with document management systems.
- Manufacturing and steel or aluminum fabrication experience preferred.
