We have a full-time opening for an RCS Supervisor at The Charis House. The schedule for this position will be Monday – Friday, 4 p.m. - 12 a.m.

Position Description
The RCS Supervisor serves as a management representative and is responsible for directing the work of associates on the assigned shift. The RCS Supervisor resolves internal problems within a shift and supports management in improving employees’ motivation. The RCS Supervisor should have the heart of a servant in accordance with Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provides leadership to other Charis House staff and participants.
- Manage employee timecards and attendance requests including approval and edits.
- Serve as the management representative and on the shift, solve internal problems within a shift and. support managers in improving employees’ motivation.
- Orients and supports participants staying at Charis House; assists participants on an assigned shift with basic needs, and ensures safety, security, and adherence to house guidelines.
- Maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information, notifies appropriate staff members, especially Case Managers, of situations requiring action or extra attention.
- Ensures rules are followed to provide a safe environment for participants. This involves administering drug and breathalyzer tests, supervising various common areas of Charis House and performing basic RCS duties as required..
- Reflects personal integrity in attitude and behavior toward guests, volunteers, participants and staff.
- Provides transportation as needed. This includes transporting individuals or groups via company vehicles.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Maintain department staff by collaborating with HR to recruit, select, orient and train employees; maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment and develop employee growth opportunities.
- Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and correcting employees; coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards.
Other Duties
- Attend quarterly All Staff meetings.
- Job performance should demonstrate The Rescue Mission’s Core Values; Organizational Integrity, Organizational Unity and Organizational Effectiveness.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Be prepared to pray with and offer spiritual support to others.
Education Training and Experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Commitment to continuing education in the human services or related field.
- Two or more years of experience working in Charis House highly preferred.
- 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
