Supervisory Responsibilities:

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Actively promotes and enforces safety regulations, processes, and policies to maintain a safe environment. Conducts weekly safety audits of assigned department.
- Responsible for meeting the daily and weekly output requirements for their assigned department(s).
- Provides leadership, management, and motivation to attain high levels of employee achievement and retention.
- Plans, directs, and assigns work. Coordinate overtime as necessary.
- Trains, coaches, and mentors employees
- Ensures material is scheduled to complete departmental operations in accordance with the scheduled delivery date. Schedules to allow for most efficient / productive operation.
- Monitors usage of tools associated with production and suggest improvement initiatives.
- Expeditiously dispositions material that is on hold to keep from negatively affecting OTD.
- Ensures equipment is maintained (Maint. & Prod.) preventative maintenance
- Creates, edits, maintains material routings.
- Ensures that material is processed correctly to minimize rejects and total process loss.
- Evaluates departmental yield loss and identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Track department productivity, quality, and other metrics as necessary to ensure on-time delivery and propose and lead improvement projects.
- Issue corrective actions and discipline as necessary

- At least 2 years' experience in a manufacturing leadership role is required.
- Experience in a union environment preferred.
