We have a few full-time openings at The Rescue Mission's Life House (404 E Washington Blvd). Starting rate of $15 / hour plus shift bonuses ($1 / hour for 2nd shift, $2 / hour for 3rd shift, and $3 / hour for weekends) Below are the schedules we need to fill :
- Full-Time 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 4 p.m. - 12 a.m.
- Full-Time 2nd Shift , Friday- Tuesday, 4 p.m. - 12 a.m.
Position Description
The Residential Care Staff (RCS) assures appropriate services are provided for participants in either Life House, Charis House, or Emergency Shelter and ensures the safe and smooth operation of the house during the assigned shift. The Residential Care Staff should have the heart of a servant in accordance with Colossians 3 : 23 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Orients, and supports participants staying at The Rescue Mission; assists participants with basic needs, and ensures safety, security, and adherence to house guidelines.Maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information, notifies appropriate staff members, especially Case Managers, of situations requiring action or extra attention.Ensures rules are followed to provide a safe environment for participants. This involves administering drug and breathalyzer tests and supervising various common areas of The Rescue Mission.Reflects personal integrity in attitude and behavior toward guests, volunteers, participants and staff.Performs various rounds on the premises and facilitates the participant sign in process.Completes items that were unfinished on previous shifts such as updating Mission Tracker software, statistical work and communication information, updating the supply of forms and filing.Responds to emergency situations and refers to the needed resources internally and externally.Provides transportation as needed. This includes transporting individuals or groups via company vehicles.Other Duties
Attend quarterly All Staff meetings.Attend monthly Charis House / Life House staff meetings.Job performance should demonstrate The Rescue Mission's Core Values; Organizational Integrity, Organizational Unity and Organizational Effectiveness.Be prepared to pray with and offer spiritual support to others.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Education Training and Experience
Associate's degree or equivalent experience.1 year of experience in related field preferred.Valid Driver's License.CPR & First Aid Certification preferred.Knowledge Skills and Abilities
