Overview

Jennie Joiner with The Forum Group PNW is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our client's finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the accounting operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance. This position requires a strong background in non-profit and grant accounting along with proficiency in accounting software and Excel systems. Duties

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Directly supervise a team of five in the accounting department.
• Manage and oversee grant accounting process and procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage the general ledger, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis.
• Conduct technical accounting tasks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Supervise the preparation of budgets and monitor expenditures against budgetary constraints.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Maintain accurate records through double entry bookkeeping practices.
• Lead audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
