Leaves and Accommodations Manager, reporting to the Director of Talent Management, oversees the management of all leaves of absence (U.S. and International), accommodations, workers' compensation, and supports the administration of U.S. benefit plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating global leaves, accommodations, workers’ compensation, and compliance programs.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA).
- Managing workers’ compensation claims, settlement negotiations, and vendor relations.
- Implementing new programs, updating portal content, and managing benefit administration.
- Monitoring and reviewing policy documents, ergonomic assessments, and leave records.
- Managing team performance, setting goals, and ensuring professional development.
- Handling confidential employee information with discretion and adhering to firm policies.
Required Expertise:
- Advanced knowledge of leave of absence laws, ADA accommodations, and benefit programs.
- Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., Workday) and payroll systems (e.g., ADP).
- Strong knowledge of related regulations (e.g., COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HR or Business-related field).
- 7 years of leave administration experience (required).
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- 3 years in a professional services or legal environment.
