Currently seeking a Financial Compliance Analyst for a Global top 5 Pharmaceutical organization!
This position is Onsite/Hybrid to Mettawa, IL – NOT a Remote opportunity.
The Financial Compliance Analyst will support the US Commercial Compliance department in monitoring compliance programs and ensuring the accurate reporting of data. This role involves analyzing expense reporting data, investigating potential compliance issues, and ensuring adherence to Federal Sunshine Act and state-level regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Compliance Monitoring:
- Extract, compile, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources, including iREP (CRM system) and Concur CTE (expense reporting system).
- Use Excel (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables) and Power BI to identify variances and trends.
- Monitor expense reports for compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, such as the Sunshine Act.
Issue Identification and Resolution:
- Investigate discrepancies, such as missing receipts, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Provide guidance to Sales Representatives and other customer-facing personnel on proper compliance practices.
- Develop and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of compliance activities.
- Prepare reports and presentations for Commercial, Legal, and Ethics teams, summarizing findings and trends.
- Support Federal Sunshine Act and state-level reporting by ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Address operational compliance inquiries from field and home office personnel.
- Collaborate with the Office of Ethics and Compliance, Financial Compliance, and Legal teams to address complex compliance challenges.
- Project Support:
- Assist in multiple ongoing projects and ad hoc assignments as directed by the Compliance Manager.
Qualifications:
Education: BA/BS degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Skills and Experience:
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables), SharePoint, and Power BI.
- Highly analytical with the ability to review large datasets and recognize trends.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to provide a high level of customer service when interacting with customer-facing personnel.
- Prior experience in financial compliance is preferred; pharmaceutical industry experience is ideal but not required.
