Currently seeking a Payments Consulting Project Manager for a Global top 5 Pharmaceutical organization!
Position is Hybrid/Onsite North Chicago, IL ----- NO Remote opportunity.
The Payments Consultant will oversee the implementation of enterprise payment solutions, collaborating with banking partners, finance, procurement, and treasury teams to optimize payment terms and improve working capital.
This role involves project management, supplier engagement, and process improvement within a dynamic financial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of Supply Chain Financing (SCF), Dynamic Discounting (DD), and Virtual Card payment programs.
- Serve as the primary Procurement representative in implementation discussions with banks and internal finance teams.
- Ensure timely procurement decisions to support seamless implementation.
- Develop educational materials and communications for internal and external stakeholders on available payment options.
- Establish mechanisms to measure and report program impact.
- Align closely with business partners to ensure consistency in payment strategies and execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Project Management (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, banking systems, and financial processes for Payments including Supplier Financing, Reverse Factoring etc.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance, banking, or payments.
- CPA or MBA is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
