Primary Purpose:

Responsible for coordinating fieldwork, materials, and labor for installed products, ensuring efficient scheduling, communication, and project execution. This role also includes responding to warranty repair requests and ensuring high-quality service for builders and homeowners.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Coordination & Execution:

  • Travel to job sites to assess job status and confirm material deliveries before installation.
  • Track in-progress calls and proactively resolve installation issues with installers and external partners.
  • Maintain accurate records and facilitate effective communication for seamless project execution.
  • Monitor and adjust project schedules to optimize workflow and prevent delays.
  • Review and update scheduled installation dates throughout all phases of the project.
  • Maintain a log for install completions and material returns.

Warranty & Repair Services:

  • Respond to builder or homeowner warranty repair requests as directed by a supervisor or authorized personnel.
  • Utilize hand and power tools for repairs and installations.
  • Document time and materials used for warranty/repair work and report to a supervisor.
  • Ensure all paperwork is kept clean, dry, and organized.

Communication & Relationship Management:

  • Regularly update customers on project progress, handle inquiries, and address complaints related to installations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with installers, Construction Managers, and internal departments.
  • Communicate additional work requests from Construction Managers to the appropriate installer.
  • Obtain signed approvals for work requested outside the contract scope.
  • Interact with customers, Franklin Building Supply employees, and subcontractors in a professional and friendly manner.

Logistics & Efficiency Improvement:

  • Periodically pick up and deliver additional materials to job sites as needed.
  • Assist in implementing lean methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Technical & Industry Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of new multi-family residential construction.
  • Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement changes effectively.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.

Time Management & Adaptability:

  • Ability to modify daily schedules for unplanned urgencies.
  • Strong multitasking skills to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
  • Effective goal setting and achievement in a fast-paced environment.

Communication & Problem-Solving:

  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Professional demeanor to represent the company positively.
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve with minimal supervision.
  • Approachable, good listener, and effective communicator.

Physical & Operational Requirements:

  • Ability to work in inclement weather and be on your feet throughout the day.
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces, such as crawl spaces, for certain repairs.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience using technology in the field.
  • Familiarity with builder portals.
