*Job Description
We are looking for a candidate with open availability to join our team as our Full Time Front Desk Agent.
The Front Desk Agent represents the hotel by providing the highest quality of service to guests. The Front Desk Agent will be responsible for the daily operations of the front desk under the direction of the Assistant General Manager and in alignment with the hospitality/hotel standards.
Typical Duties:
- Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and provide them with any information they need to enjoy their stay.
- Respond to guest requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Work to resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Elevating to management if necessary.
- Answer telephone within 3 rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
- Establish methods of payment and verify credit. Reconcile credit card transactions.
- Make reservations as needed.
- Register and assign guests to hotel rooms.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, local attractions, and events.
- Assist in the breakfast area or assist guests with luggage when staffing assistance is required or during peak periods.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
- Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
- Ability to traverse various areas of the facility to conduct inspections and plan security procedures.
- Any other tasks assigned by management.
Skills:
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
- High work ethic and self-initiative.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with guests and associates, including the abilities to give directions, instructions, information, answer questions and provide service required.
- Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions.
- Regular attendance according to established guidelines.
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching; stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
