SUMMARY //
The Accounting Specialist is a part-time role assisting in the day-to-day financial operations of both The Front Climbing Club & Vertical Solutions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across accounting processes. Key duties include daily accounting operations such as accounts payable, classifying transactions, and assisting with month close.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES //
- Perform accounts payable invoice processing, vendor payments and weekly check runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments while addressing any discrepancies with vendors.
- Accurately input and classify receipts into accounting software, ensuring all financial data aligns with company records.
- Ensure accurate mapping of transactions for financial reporting and compliance
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, research transaction issues, and implement corrections to maintain the integrity of financial records.
- Support the month close process by preparing journal entries, reviewing account balances, and classifying transactions.
- Monitor, organize, and respond to emails in shared accounting inboxes, ensuring timely communications.
- Handle incoming financial documents, invoices, and correspondence, ensuring they are properly sorted and directed to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS //
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience in the workforce
- A minimum of 1-2 years experience with day-to-day accounting operations
- Experience with Quickbooks
- Strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in accounting software and excel
- High level of confidentiality and discretion
- Able to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally to enhance the customer experience, recognizing that customer satisfaction is a company-wide effort.
