Position Summary :
Greetings from The Fun Kids Dentist Pediatric and Orthodontic Dental Office! We are excited to welcome new team members into our office. Here at The Fun Kids Dentist, our number one priority is our patients. We strive to provide the highest level of pediatric / orthodontic dental care. We believe that in order to provide this top level of care and customer service for our patients, we need to find the most talented individuals that enjoy being part of a fun and passionate team of dental professionals. We are currently looking to add a Pediatric Treatment Coordinator to our growing office.
A Treatment Coordinator's main priority is overseeing all new patients and presenting care. This individual will focus on working with a patient / client family through their first experience in our office through completion of treatment and establishing a dental home with us. You will work with the pediatric dentists to explain treatment recommendations. Your duties will include presenting a treatment plan / treatment fees, researching insurance coverage / pre-authorization for the patient, and arranging a payment plan when applicable. You will schedule the patient's care and follow up with any questions / concerns that may arise throughout the patient journey through treatment.
The key to your success is effective communication with a smile, and helping the patient family overcome any obstacles to acceptance and completion of their dental care. The Treatment Coordinator sets the tone for what a patient's experience, treatment, and care will be like within our office. It is important for our patients to feel our culture at all times through the exceptional customer service and treatment that we provide.
Education / Experience :
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years of sales experience. Experience in the dental / medical field is preferred, but will train the RIGHT candidate.
Skills / Abilities :
- Good interpersonal skills to develop an effective relationship with patients, parents, doctors, team members and community.
- Effective verbal skills to communicate with and educate patients and parents to treatment
- Gentle persuasion skills to guide patients and parents and to instill confidence with regards to our dentists abilities and results of treatment (we provide exceptional care, and safe / effective patient care is our top priority)
- Letter / email composition skills and excellent grammar skills
- Typing skills for entries into patient charts, and for drafting / constructing letters to referral sources pre and post-treatment
- Exceptional ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Organized, systematic with impeccable follow through
- Knowledgeable with dental insurance (knowledge in medical insurance / healthcare insurance background would also be considered)
- Positive attitude that exudes confidence and enthusiasm
