ASSISTANT PROJECT COORDINATOR
Regular Full-Time | First Shift
Responsibilities to Include:
Providing administrative and project support using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams & PowerPoint) Software and Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint Software.
Purpose:
Assist the Project Coordinator who directly supports Project Managers and Professional/Technical Staff with aspects of managing projects from initiation of the project to delivery of final products to the clients. The Assistant Project Coordinator will also support other office needs.
Duties:
- Support Project Coordinator, Project Managers and Professional/Technical Staff in the Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, SC offices, and Asheville and Raleigh, NC offices
- Update and maintain databases pertinent to the engineering division
- Support Project Coordinator in entering data into the Deltek Software system, providing quality review for data entered into the Deltek Software system and performing invoicing
- Support Project Coordinator in handling duties related to account receivables duties
- Work on environmental and engineering projects as needed
- Demonstrate and support GEL Group Core Values
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); this includes formatting existing documents and creating new ones
- Document prep experience (printing, collating, binding (3-ring binders, comb or coil binding) and divider/tab insertion
- Above-average writing/communications skills (ability to compose internal and external emails, and brief paragraphs with proper grammar and spelling)
- Strong background in mathematics
- Resourcefulness (ability to use available resources to complete tasks – this includes utilizing servers, internet, emails, etc)
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently
Education Required:
High School diploma required; Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience Required:
Entry Level for AAS/BS degree or minimum 1-2 years, preferably in professional service or consulting firm for HS graduate. Must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint and MS Office components (Word, Excel, Teams & PowerPoint).
