What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor I with Full Description position at The General Council of the Assemblies of God?
Position Summary:
Clean specific areas nightly, includes but not limited to, picking up trash, cleaning restrooms, sweeping/ vacuuming floors, dusting, and any other duties as assigned.
Experience Required:
Experience is not necessary, I prefer to train to my standards.
Education/Training Required:
There is no educational/training necessary. Must be over the age of 18.
Job Duties:
1. Pick up trash and take to compactor nightly. No trash is to be left in the janitor’s closet. Change trash can liners as needed, wash out dirty trash cans as needed. clean walls behind trash cans as needed. Shredded paper cardboard and recycle paper to be taken to recycle area. Sweep tile and hard surface floors nightly, wet mop as needed, at least weekly. vacuum all carpeted areas on a rotating basis being sure all areas are vacuumed weekly, spot vacuum as needed, hallways/walkways vacuumed nightly, be sure to vacuum behind doors and under desks. Wet mop plastic floor mats under desks at least monthly, oftener during inclement weather. Clean water fountains nightly.
2. Restrooms Nightly: Clean and disinfect sinks, commodes and urinals nightly making sure to wipe down exteriors, clean mirrors, and door handles. Stock paper products and empty trash, clean walls behind trash cans as needed. clean stall walls, partitions, and doors at least weekly, oftener as needed. sweep and wet mop floors nightly.
3. Dusting: All open surfaces, window ledges, picture frames, baseboards, cabinet tops (if free from personal items), chairs, doors, and door frames.
4. Maintain a clean and clutter free janitor closet. keep a good supply of products necessary for cleaning stocked in closet.
5. This person needs to have an eye for detail and able to work well with others or alone if required. They need to be dependable, conscientious, motivated, and cooperative.
