What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Reentry Coordinator position at The GEO Group?
As a Community Reentry Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the successful reintegration of released inmates into their communities. Your primary duties will include developing detailed knowledge of assigned caseloads, ensuring that academic, vocational, and support services needs are addressed through case management plans.
You will also establish relationships with community-based service providers, connecting inmates with resources prior to release and working to eliminate barriers to successful reintegration. Additionally, you will attend scheduled staff meetings, promoting communication and the proper flow of relevant information between admission, staff, and inmates.
You will have the opportunity to compile statistical data for reporting purposes and communicate effectively and coherently with administration, staff, inmates, visitors, and the general public.
