Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Content creation for email marketing, Instagram, Facebook and other platforms as needed, including website maintenance.
- Strategic marketing planning across all platforms for all markets of the club (The Grill a la carte dining, hotel, golf, private events and public events).
- Work closely with KemperSports regional support teams to create and implement the annual sales and marketing plan for the club
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive revenue
- Create and maintain a social media and email content calendar to increase rounds played, merchandise sales, special event sales and F&B sales
- Understand and Evaluate marketing tactics and effectiveness of the campaigns and tools used by The Glen Club
- Assist directors with administrative duties.
- Assist with membership administrative duties as needed (i.e., updating membership information, data entry, etc).
- Manage internal communications between departments at TGC, including but not limited to the facility electronic newsletter the Hangar Post.
- Maintain positive relationships and communicate clearly, tactfully, and persuasively with employees, customers, members, and outside contacts as applicable.
- Assist in the implementation of various strategies including direct marketing communications, advertising, special event promotions, public relations, media relations and community and municipal relations, etc.
- Monitor and manage the facility’s online reputation and reviews through timely response to customer reviews, comments, questions, etc. on social channels and review sites.
- Maintain knowledge of current and projected industry trends.
- Attend and assist with holiday brunches/events (i.e., Santa Brunch, Gingerbread Workshop, Thanksgiving Feast, Mother’s Day, Easter).
- Willingness to “work the room” to engage & interact with members & guests during events
- Assist owning communication boards in clubhouse locker rooms and private members’ lounge.
- Perform other duties as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations
- BA or BS degree preferred
- 2 years of applicable experience, preferably in marketing and the hospitality industry
- Golf experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends/holidays
- Exceptional customer service skills required
