Payroll & HR Administrator

Blue Ridge Summit, PA, Hybrid, Remote


Globe Pequot is seeking a full-time payroll and HR specialist who will work across many aspects of Human Resources. To qualify, you must have at least 3 years of recent and continuous experience running payroll for 50 employees. You must be organized, detail-oriented, communicative, able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and have the desire to learn and grow. 

Responsibilities

  • Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions. Review timecards, wages, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies. 
  • Provide information and assistance to employees and managers daily regarding all Human Resources functions. 
  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns.
  • Maintain an accurate account of staff attendance using the time and attendance online portal. 
  • Assist in the employment process by organizing, processing, documenting, and maintaining employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions using ADP Workforce Now. 
  • Analyze employment-related data and prepare required reports. Maintain departmental employee record organization and accuracy within the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), in our online database.
  • Assist in monthly research, evaluation, and documentation of compliance updates on a federal, state, and local level to ensure the integrity of our practices and policies.
  • Assistance with and progression toward managing other Human Resources activities, such as recruitment, training and development, compensation management, and benefits administration. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

In addition to the above, candidates will have:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree and/or Human Resources certification from SHRM or HRCI. 
  • 3 years prior experience as a payroll administrator, with knowledge and experience performing other human resource functions. 
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now is preferred; 3 years using other HRIS systems such as Bamboo HR, Kronos, or Paycor is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; proficiency in Adobe DC is required.

Be willing to discuss problems and apply integrity to daily work while exercising proper judgement with staff and colleagues, strictly adhering to confidentiality requirements. 
  • Collaborative:  Understands the concept of true teamwork. Change direction or modify priorities when changes occur. Show consideration and kindness to management and staff. 
  • Motivated:  Take initiative when gathering information to complete assignments and ask questions when in doubt. Develop methods for process improvement and increased participation/engagement with staff.
  • Communicative:  Exemplary verbal and written communication skills - responds well to directions and asks questions to improve communication and efficiency. 
  • Responsible & Accountable:  Maintain deadlines by communicating with the supervisor when delays occur. Be flexible with work hours when necessary to complete assigned work, and exhibit a good work ethic with good attendance, punctuality, and adherence to deadlines.
