The Difference You Will Make : This role is responsible for leading kitchen management operations and enhancing the performance of their assigned bar and restaurant location. In alignment to the Lifestyle brand strategy, this role is focused on creating positive, memorable experiences for our customers.
Who You Are :
- Under direction of the General Manager, leads and directs the back of house team to achieve food safety standards and health regulations.
- Manages and audits inventory and controls cost of goods with follow up to assigned reports in the restaurant.
- Manages inventory levels to ensure proper purchasing.
- Manages and assists with food prep and cooking to recipe specifications.
- Actively engages in recruiting efforts for the restaurant, including assisting with staffing during turnover and high-volume events. I may be asked to assist at other restaurants with recruiting.
- Ensures service areas of the restaurant, to include the kitchen and bar, meet or exceed internal standards at all times.
- Meets financial objectives and increases sales and customer base.
- Contributes to preparing development plans for the back-of-house team, including scheduling of meetings and check ins.
- Maintains regular communication with the staff and leadership. Connects with district teams and corporate partners to ensure cohesive operations are maintained.
- Manages Back of House schedules, must be able to adhere to the scheduling guidelines to ensure customer service expectations are met. Ensures schedules are posted at least two weeks before the commencement date.
- Monitors the condition of Kitchen Equipment and appliances and schedules regular maintenance and repairs as needed. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning efficiently.
- Ensures that all applicable food safety standards, both internal and external, are met.
- Documents performance issues, including recognizing staff and writes employee reviews in conjunction with the General Manager.
- Completes other projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- ServSafe certification required
- 2 years experience leading bar or restaurant kitchen operations required
- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to multitask, maintain a sense of urgency at all times, and be able to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Team player with a positive attitude and must have excellent customer service skills
