We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Prep Teacher to join our team and help children transition smoothly into preschool by focusing on social, emotional, and developmental milestones, including potty training.
Job Responsibilities :
Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that align with Step Up to Quality standards.
Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to explore and grow.
Support children in reaching developmental milestones, including potty training, self-help skills, and social-emotional readiness for preschool.
Collaborate with co-teachers and administrative staff to maintain a high-quality learning environment.
Communicate regularly with parents / guardians regarding their child’s progress, classroom goals, and milestones.
Document observations and assessments of children’s development to align with Step Up to Quality and program standards.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
Experience working with young children, especially in a daycare or preschool setting.
Knowledge of Ohio’s Step Up to Quality standards and early childhood best practices.
Strong understanding of potty training techniques and developmental milestones for preschool readiness.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting and active engagement with children.
