Child Care Center Director

The Goddard School of Renton is seeking a visionary School Director in our vibrant early education facility in Renton, Washington! We are looking for a talented leader who is passionate about nurturing young minds and creating a positive impact in our community. As the Director, you will spearhead the growth and development of our school overseeing a team of exceptional educators and ensuring that every child's needs are met while maintaining compliance with licensing requirements in collaboration with the school director.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Building a Dream Team: Recruit and develop a team of "best in class" educators who share your enthusiasm for early childhood education. Foster their professional growth and create a collaborative environment where their passion can thrive.

2. Building Bridges: Forge strong and positive relationships with families, teachers, community partners, and state licensing authorities. By working closely with these stakeholders, you will ensure that our facility provides an exceptional experience for every child and family.

3. Innovation and Growth: Utilize best practices to enhance our center's enrollment and revenue, while introducing exciting new programs such as Story Time Chess and Wonder of Learning. Your creative ideas will shape the future of our facility and make it a hub of educational excellence.

4. Educational Excellence: Partner with our Leadership Team to implement comprehensive education services. Provide guidance, training, coaching, and ongoing support to our dedicated teachers, ensuring they have the tools they need to deliver outstanding instruction.

5. Inspiring Communication: Take the lead in our center's communication strategy, developing engaging monthly themes, newsletters, and social media posts. Through effective communication, you will foster a sense of community and keep parents informed and involved.

6. Streamlined Operations: Manage payroll and other HR functions efficiently, ensuring that our facility operates smoothly and adheres to all policies and procedures. Your attention to detail will create a seamless experience for both staff and families.

7. Empowering Leadership: Delegate authority as needed, empowering others while also building their leadership capacity. By fostering a culture of growth and shared responsibility, you will create an environment where everyone can thrive.

8. Cultivating a Flourishing Environment: Maintain up-to-date policies and procedures, including our facility handbook, emergency preparedness plan, and employee handbook. Regularly inspect facility and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards per DCYF and Goddard QA standards. Your commitment to excellence will ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all.

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

- Demonstrated success in managing a preschool for at least 3 years, showcasing your ability to create an exceptional learning environment.

- Director certification in the State of Washington, demonstrating your commitment to meeting the highest standards of early childhood education.

- A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education OR a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, supplemented by at least six (6) courses in Early Childhood Education. A Master's Degree is preferred, highlighting your dedication to ongoing professional growth.

- An owner mindset, with demonstrated experience boosting enrollment and implementing new revenue-generating programs.

- Strong knowledge of STEAM-based curriculum and pedagogy.

- Proven leadership abilities, including staff management and development.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.

- Familiarity with licensing requirements and regulations governing preschools.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
