The Goddard School, Somersett, is a premier early childhood education center located in Northwest Reno. We are accredited through the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and strive to provide a quality place to work by operating to their high standards in all areas. We have an opportunity for the right individual to partner with our current infant teachers where students range in age from 6 weeks to 14 months old. We have expanded our infant program and are seeking additional teachers. We follow The Goddard standards for our academic program, safety and health guidelines and program development.
The right candidate must have some teaching experience in an early childhood education environment and partner well with others. Bachelor’s degree or CDA is preferred for our lead teachers but we will consider the right candidate who is completing their degree at this time. For Assistant Teachers we look for individuals who are interested in teaming with our lead teachers to assist in daily activities, providing care to our infants and to collaborate to create and warm, nurturing environment. Necessary skills include strong communication skills with children and families, flexibility in handling little people throughout the day and the ability to work as part of our team to help make our school successful.
Compensation for full time employees includes: hourly rates starting at $17.00 an hour, health, vision and dental insurance, paid time off/vacation, continuing education, paid time for holidays and profit sharing plan for employee who are here greater than one year.
Compensation will be determined by experience and education and compensation ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 an hour.
